Betty Joyce (Hutcherson) Hudgins, passed away March 28,2017 at Baptist Health Louisville.
No longer does she see as if in a cloudy mirror, nor know only in part. She now sees her Savior Jesus Christ face to face, and knows the fullness of his presence. She at last rejoins her husband of 43 years, Irvin Hudgins Jr., as well as her parents Eldred and Bernice Ray Hutcherson.
Betty was born February 25, 1935 in Buffalo, Ky. She received Christ as her Savior at Buffalo Baptist Church and was baptized in the creek in October 1945. After the family moved to Louisville, KY in 1947, she became a member at Beechland Baptist Church. She and Irvin were married there June 4,1955. Their three sons survive them Steven (Jill), David (Kimberley) and Jeffrey ( Danielle); two grandchildren Hannah Hudgins-Montilla (Vladimir) and Nathan Hudgins (Elena); two great grandchildren Elizabeth and Samuel Hudgins-Montilla; sister Ilma Ray Chaney (Arlie).
Funeral service Saturday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Magnolia Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magnolia, KY
Visitation Friday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
