In Dorchester, March 27, 2017 Daniel E. Ferreira husband of Virginia “Ginny” (Sullivan) Ferreira died at Carney Hospital at the age of 57. Born in Taunton, Daniel was the son of the late Daniel and Dorothy (Donahue) Ferreira. He was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham High School and received his associate’s degree in engineering at the University of Chicago. Daniel proudest moment was when he joined the US Marines serving nine years. He was a member of the Taunton Eagles and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word games and especially traveling to St Martin. He was the brother of David Ferreira and his wife Leah of Taunton, Joseph Ferreira and Ann Ferreira both of Maui. Uncle of Sarah and Anthony Ferreira, Joe Carbonneau, Justin Amado and great uncle of Alaina Greene. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday, April 1st at 8:30 am. A Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 9:30 am. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8 pm. Interment will be on Monday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 pm.
