TEWKSBURY - Frances A. (Coffey) Aronofsky, age 71, an active member of the Tewksbury
United Methodist Church, died Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Lowell General Hospital, after a long
period of declining health.
She was born in Boston, March 28, 1934, a daughter of the late James and Anna (McGiggion)
Coffey. She had lived the greater part of her life in Tewksbury.
She was employed by J.C. Penny’s in Billerica until her retirement.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert S. Aronofsky Jr and his wife
Gloria (Kirkland) of Jacksonville, FL, Paul F. Aronofsky and his wife Dorothy ( McPhee) of
Hudson, NH, and Mark Aronofsky of Holland, MA; a daughter, Marianne Aronofsky of Nashua,
NH; one sister, Mary Fleming of Avenue, MD; four grandchildren, Misty Oglesby and her
husband David of FL, Paul Aronofsky Jr. of Boston, Michael Aronofsky of Hudson, NH, and
Sierra Watson of FL; one great granddaughter, Haleigh; many nieces and nephews; and a dear
friend, Hazel Malfy of Tewksbury.
She was also mother of the late Wayne H. Aronofsky.
Her funeral was held, Monday, Sept. 12, in the funeral home. Burial was in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to “Katrina Relief “
