Marie Carmen Jean was born October 1, 1924 in Haiti to the late Coulouette Jean and Eugene Jean. She was affectionally known to her family as Mama and Madame Carmen. She was the youngest of her large family.
Carmen left Haiti in 1982 to come to Boston, MA to be closer to her three sons Jean Emile, the late Edy Emile and Jude Jean-Francois. Her sons, grandchildren and great-grandson was the joy of her life.
Madame Carmen was a great business woman in her own way rights through buying and selling various products. In her early years she loved going to church and singing. She was a very funny woman who loved to joke and make people laugh, she was also a great story teller.
In August 2011, Carmen suffered a stroke. For the past five years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning April 1st at 10am in Saint Angela's Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan.
Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
