In Taunton, March 24, 2017, Hugh M. Mayher, Age 71, passed away peacefully at Marian Manor Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. Hugh is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl (Hall) Mayher of Raynham. He was the son of the late Hugh & Alice (McNamara) Mayher. Hugh had been a resident of Raynham since 1974 and grew up in Taunton, where he served as an altar boy at St. Mary's Parish. He was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School and also from Cambridge Jr. College, where he was Vice President of his class. Hugh was a landlord of several residential properties. He was also the proud owner of M & M Advertising Inc., which produces a newspaper called the Sr. Citizen's Guide and is distributed throughout New England. An avid traveler, Hugh further enjoyed attending performances of old-time crooners, watching Patriot's games, and discussing politics. Both personally and professionally, he will be remembered for his gentle, kind demeanor and his witty sense of humor. Above all, Hugh cherished his time with his family. In addition to his wife Cheryl, Hugh leaves his loving children, Kerin “Keri” Pintzopoulos and her husband Dino of Methuen, Katie Mayher and her companion Sean DaSilva of Taunton, and Brian Mayher of Hatfield, MA. Hugh also leaves his five loving grandchildren, Jordan, Samantha, Liam, Dominick, and Angelina. He also leaves his siblings, Virginia Medeiros of Berkley, Mary Sisco of Fall River, and the late Ann Durette, Kevin Mayher, and Christopher Mayher. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, March 29th at 8:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
