CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Joyce Bayer Boutwell, 83, formerly of Webster, died September 24, 2016 in Corpus Christi with her family at her side after a battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband, Erwin Ray Boutwell; a son, Thomas Otto Perkins and his wife Karen; a daughter, Nancy Joyce Johnson and her husband Bill, all of Corpus Christi; 2 step-children, Mitzi Majeski and Kelly Boutwell, both of California; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Bayer and a sister, Doris Lescher, both of Massachusetts.
She was the daughter of the late John Otto Bayer and Doris (Carver) Bayer.
“Jo Jo” was an aficionado of sports, NASCAR and especially the Boston Red Sox. Always active, she enjoyed her weekly card games with friends. She held a special place in her heart for her dear grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service was held last October 15 at the Parkway Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, at 11:00 AM at the Bayer lot in Mount Zion Cemetery, Old Worcester Road, Webster. Local arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA.
