WORCESTER: Robert V. Zubowich, 79, formerly of Duncannon Ave., died March 6, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
He leaves two daughters, Donna C. Foster and her husband Frank of West Yarmouth and Kay M. Janeczek and her husband John of Ballston Lake, NY; five grandchildren, Kyle, Brian, Jessica, Trevor and Joshua. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Vincent A. and Angela R. (Guzauckas) Zubowich, graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Bob was a counter clerk for the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for more than 35 years until he retired. He loved jazz music and was an accomplished musician having performed with multiple brass instruments for many years.
There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family suggests donations in memory of Bob be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
