Bill Rutherford, 59, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Mr. Rutherford's residence, 574 Hickory Road, Ocilla. Tim Musgrove will officiate.
Mr. Rutherford was born October 31, 1957, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Ruford Earle & Barbara Lavelle Ellis Rutherford. He lived in the community all of his life. Mr. Rutherford received a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southwestern. He was owner and operator of R & R Sound, where he provided sound for many bands and made many good friends thru the years. He worked for Metalux and Advanced Auto Parts and retired as parts manager for Fitzgerald Ford & Lincoln. Mr. Rutherford was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughters: Danielle Wilcox of Ocilla, Jodie Shipman & Dwight Gresham of Ellaville and Jessica D’Amato & Nickolas of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; seven grandchildren; a sister, Martha Lewis of Easley, South Carolina; a nephew, David Lewis of Leesburg; three nieces: Shelley Black of Easley, South Carolina, Sara Padgett of Fitzgerald and Michelle Rabe of Minnesota; 10 great nieces and nephews.
