Mavis M. Flibotte
Longtime Tewksbury Resident
TEWKSBURY: Mavis M. (Jordan) Flibotte, age 84, a resident of Tewksbury for 34 years, passed away at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus on Monday, March 20, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of Leo P. Flibotte, who passed away on October 6, 2015.
Born in Gardiner, Maine on September 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Bill Waters and the late Eva (Brown) Jordan.
Mavis was raised in Gorham, NH, and graduated from Gorham High School.
She worked as an executive secretary in Berlin, NH and in Boston, MA for 7 years and then devoted her life to raising her four children.
Mavis enjoyed spending the summer months at Lake Winnipesaukee and the winter months in Pompano, FL.
She spent many hours on the tennis court with her friends and loved to play golf.
She is survived by four daughters, Calla Baxter, Terri Westaway, Rondi Forest, and Mary Blake; seven grandchildren, Jarod and Joshua Westaway, Mariah and Haley Baxter, Joseph McArdle, Kelsie Forest, and Donald Blake; one sister, Donna Taylor. She also leaves eight nieces and nine nephews.
Mavis was the sister of the late Geraldine Berthiaume, Edgar, Ernest, and Guy Jordan, Jr.
Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, March 24, from 10-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, to be followed by her Memorial Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Private interment will be held at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
