William D. McKenzie Sr. of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at his home. He was 76 years of age.
Born in Somerville, William was the loving son of the late Archibald McKenzie and Bernice (Covert) McKenzie. William was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.
William was a dedicated salesman for many years. He was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life.
William was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Green) McKenzie. He was the devoted father of Janice Hennessy and her husband Frank of Windham, New Hampshire, William McKenzie Jr. and his wife Linda of Reading, Daniel McKenzie of Stoneham, Carol Davis and her husband Bob of Derry, New Hampshire, Jean Schmidt and her husband Paul, John McKenzie and his wife Patricia of Billerica, Debbie Eccles and her husband George of Peabody, Linda Demmons and her husband Roy of Tewksbury. William was the cherished grandfather of 21, the great grandfather of 5 and the dear brother of the late Bernice.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Friday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating William’s life in St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 11am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
