Harlem, GA - Wanda F. Wheatley, born August 2, 1940, died March 19, 2017 at home.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24, at 4:00 PM at Harlem United Methodist Church, Harlem, Georgia with Pastor John Moore officiating.
Mrs. Wheatley was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Lenward A Wheatley (d. 2004) and her parents.
Survived by son and daughter in law, Sam and Kate Wheatley (New York City, NY), grandson, Bennett (Salt Lake City, Utah), Granddaughters, Zoe (Cookeville, TN) and Julia (Savannah), brother and sister in law Ernie and Jill Findley, Sylva, NC, and many family members by marriage. “Sapphire” is also survived by BFF of 63 years, Jean “Andy” Robertson (Graniteville, SC).
Her family wishes to thank Dr. Rebecca Talley and staff for their years of kind care, the Methodist Women of HUMC for their friendship, Al and Emma Anderson (Kate’s parents) for months of faithful assistance and Heartland Hospice (esp. Lindsey and Melinda) for their compassionate service.
Flowers are being received at the church.
