Georgenes, Charles G. of Jamaica Plain, March 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Eliopoulos) Georgenes. Devoted father of Victoria Georgenes, Deanna Georgenes Esq., Stephanie Georgenes all of Jamaica Plain and Deborah Georgenes N.P.-C and her fiancé Julio Romero of Norwood. Loving brother of Helen Nanos and her husband James of Ashland and the late Nicholas Georgenes and his surviving wife Mary of Walpole. Also survived by dear friend Kay Geanakakis of Medford and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was the former owner of the Victoria Restaurant in Boston, proud member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Les Amis d’Escoffier Society and the Epicurean Club of Boston. Founder and president of the Newmarket Business Association in 1977 and served on the Board of Directors of the MA. Restaurant Association.
Funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 514 Parker St. Boston, Friday, March 24, at 11am. Visitation in the church prior to the service from 10am-11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Charles’ memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
