Kathleen Frances Whitford went home to be with Jesus on March 18, 2017.
Her love for Christ was evident in her hospitality and care for others. Everyone she met became a loved one which is why so many not only called her Kathy, but also Mama. She accepted all with open arms and an open heart, but wasn’t afraid to show tough love.
She is predeceased by her mother, Bertha Jankovich, and her biological father, Vincent Fusconi. She will live on through her husband Alan Whitford and her three daughters; Anne Tareila and her husband Mark, Maryanne Whitford, and Arianne Whitford. Her remaining family includes her dad, Donald Holdredge and his children; Susan Souza, Donald Holdredge, and William Holdredge. Also, her step-mother Judith Fusconi and Kathy’s siblings Vincent Fusconi, Lorraine Trahan, and Saundra Lewis. Beside immediate family she will forever be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 21st from 5-7PM at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St. Mystic, CT 06355. A Celebration Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22nd at Potter’s House Church of God, 500 Sandy Hollow Road, Mystic CT 06355. All are then welcome to join her family for a gathering at the Whitford home, 17 Laura Avenue, Mystic CT 06355.
Kathy’s one request was that no one wear black. Let us rejoice with her as she rejoices with Jesus.
