Thelma M. Hagan-Helm, 95 (Thelma Mount) Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fletcher Mount of Glendale Kentucky passed away Saturday March 18, 2017.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Henry Gardner Hagan, her second husband Eugene Stanley Helm, a son Paul Michael Hagan, two sisters, Marjorie Reynolds and Ruby Seymour, two brothers, Everett Ashlock Mount, killed in World War II , and Harold F. Mount.
She is survived by her three daughters, Margaret L. Duncan (Tom) and Mary Kathleen (Kathy)Harrison (Gene) and Ruth A. Lusk (David) all of Louisville and her four sons Henry Gardner (H.G.) Hagan II (Pat), Gary Thomas Hagan (Carol) both of Louisville, and Lawrence William (Larry) Hagan (Donna) and Warren Richard (Dick) Hagan both of Falls of Rough, Kentucky. She has 18 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grand Children, two stepsons, Bruce and Eugene Helm and four stepdaughters, Diane Mitchell, Pat Miller, Nancy McCoy and Judy Hartman along with numerous Step grandchildren and step great grandchildren .
Thelma worked at the old Louisville Extension Water Company until it was purchased by the Louisville Water Company. She then worked for 28 years at Lucas-Hussey Tobacco Warehouse. She also worked for the State Fair for 22 years. Thelma has been a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church since it was built in 1953. She belonged to the Catholic Golden Age and participated in many church activities. She also loved roses, playing cards, reading spending time with family and friends. She was an inspiration to her family, her friends and will be missed by all.
Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10A.M. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 1925 Lewiston Drive with burial in St. James Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Ky
Visitation will be Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway after 3 P.M. until 8 P.M.
