J. T. Goff, 76, of Enigma passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Goff at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Terrell Roberts and the Rev. Bill Huffstuttler will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Bud Dowdy, Glenn Hickman, Buddy Giddens, Van Dow, Johnny Walker, Conway Harris and Edwin Dillard will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 13, 1940 in Lenox, Mr. Goff was the son of the late John Z. Goff and Vera Parr Goff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, June Goff; one son, Barney K. Nolan; a granddaughter, Leslie Ann Aultman; one brother, Alfred Goff; and two sisters, Doris Browning and Nadine Spradlin.
He was the owner and operator of J. T.'s Upholstery, until his retirement. He was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Tifton. He loved riding his motorcycle and had visited every state except Hawaii. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel music.
Mr. Goff is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Loretta and Jim McCranie of Willacoochee, Becky Lane of Clermont, Florida and Deborah Aultman of Lake City, Florida; his grandchildren and their spouses, Roger and Andrea Sutton, Patrisha Aultman, Dara Lane, Dale and Nicki Aultman and Keith Nolan; four great-grandchildren, Sophie Sutton, Maddie June Gabel, Leslie June Croft and Greyson Ryder Aultman; a brother-in-law, Donnie Spradlin; a niece, Danette Spradlin; and a special friend, Christine Newsome.
