Tynika Tashonda Booker - Gaston, beloved wife of Walter L. Gaston, Jr., entered into rest on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Tynika was born on May 7, 1977 to Willie B. Booker and the late Patricia Ann Booker in Dothan, Alabama, and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She graduated from Bradwell Institute High School in Hinesville, GA. In 1995. That same year, she joined the Air Force, and in 1999, she received an honorable discharge.
She has been happily married to Walter since July 9, 2001. This union was blessed with a daughter, Nadia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Booker. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Walter L. Gaston, Jr., her daughter, Nadia Virginia - Ann Gaston, her father, (Retired MSG) Willie B. Booker (Bernice), her sister, Lakesha N. Washington and her devoted baby sister, Shawana Michelle Booker, her nieces, Sheena K. Baylis, Keyuna N. Baylis, Jada Kitchens, Maya Gaston, Eliana Gaston and Adelina Gaston, one nephew, Qynun Washington, her devoted God mother, Cynthia Hoover (Vincent), devoted friends, Mary Walker, LeAnn Johnson and Jennifer Brumfield. She also leaves behind four stepsisters and three stepbrothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, March 17, 2017 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
