Norma Andre, a lifelong Medford resident passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was 94 years of age. Norma was the beloved wife of the late Frank Andre and together they shared 70 years of marriage prior to his passing in September of 2016. Born in Medford, Norma was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Vazza) Luongo.
Norma was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Family was her main focus in life and nothing gave her more joy than being surrounded by those she loved. Norma was always front and center when came to her family and was always supportive in any of her husband's endeavors or her sons schooling and sporting activities. She cherished every moment with her beloved grandchildren and was so proud of their many accomplishments. Norma was also a big fan of her son's team, the Andre Chiefs of the Intercity Baseball League.
Norma is lovingly survived by her devoted son, Chuck Andre and his wife Kathy of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Michael Andre and his wife Gwen of Medford, and Carla Andre, also of Medford. Sister of the late Louis Luongo and his surviving wife Audrey, of Medford. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday, March 18th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
