Martin "Papa" Scannell Scott was 83 years of age, born on November 16th, 1933 in County Cork, Ireland. Martin was a long time resident of Chelsea. Beloved husband of Annette (Powers) Scott. He was blessed to be surrounded by all his loved ones before his passing on the afternoon of March 11th, 2017. Martin had the great honor of raising 3 daughters, Yvonne, wife of Steve Bennson, Estelle, wife of Steve Savage and Carol, wife of Manuel Cetina and 3 sons, Martin Scott, husband of Michael Sanders, Sean Scott, husband of Elizabeth and Mark Scott, husband of Patty.
Along with his children, Martin also had the pleasure of spending time with all 16 grandkids and 13 great grandkids that brought him more joy than he could ever ask for. Martin was known as "Mr. Fix It", he was the pillar of the community, passing his knowledge and skills along to the local neighborhoods. He was the most selfless, humble, hardworking man you would ever come to meet. If you ever crosses paths or bumped into papa, wheather it would be at one of the many sporting evevnts he went to or Market Basket, you would be greeted by the infamous "Hey Pal ! How You Doing !?. And that's when you knew you were in for a good story.
Family and friends will honor Martin with a "Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, March 19th from 2-6 PM at the Merrit Club, 101 Webster Avenue in Chelsea.
