Roy M. Turner, 86, of Bridgewater died March 9th, after a long illness. He was husband of Patricia (Pezzella) Turner for 59 years.
He was born in Brockton, son of the late Roy M. and Rubena (Irving) Turner.
Roy was a Korean War veteran, serving in the United States Army, from 1951-1953.
He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He was employed by Fisher-Pierce, as Manager of Engineering Services.
Roy enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening and reading.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two sons, Steven Turner, D.M.D., Col. US Army and his wife Vicki of Sanford NC and David Turner of Allston, two brothers, Bruce Turner and his wife Ann of Whitman, Carl Turner of Pembroke, his sister Nancy Ohrenberger and her husband Stephen of Plymouth.
His Memorial service will be held on Friday March 17th at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Burial will be at a later date.
