BRIDGEWATER - Nina A. (Porreca) Auglis, 90, of Bridgewater died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles P. Auglis Sr.
Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Maria (Ferri) Porreca.
Mrs. Auglis was a former superintendent in the Bridgewater school system for more than 20 years.
She was a former president of the Catholic Women's Guild of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater.
She is survived by her children, Charles P. Auglis Jr. of Plano, Texas, Nina Maria Tabor and Michael S. Auglis, both of Bridgewater; her siblings, Sylvia Mahoney of Medford and Gizio Porreca of Maynard; her grandchild, Ani Auglis of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister to the late Idillio Porreca.
Her funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Friday at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater, at 9 a.m.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
