SPENCER; Claire M. (Charbonneau) Ledoux, 84, of Charlton Rd, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 65 years, Joseph A. Ledoux, a son, Mark J. Ledoux, DVM of Brookfield, a daughter, Linda M. Hart of Charlton, a granddaughter, Laura G. Poulin of Charlton and her fiance Daniel Mair of Glasgow, Scotland, a niece, Lisa McNamara of Spencer, a nephew, Gary Charbonneau of Amherst NH., and her sister-in-law, Nancy Charbonneau of Spencer. Predeceased by her brother Richard Charbonneau in 1984.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Omer and Alexandrina (Hamel) Charboneau. Claire graduated Holy Name High School and continued on her education at Salter Secretary School. She worked as a legal secretary for many years at Meloche & Meloche Attorneys at Law in Spencer retiring in 1994.She later worked for her son's veterinary practice, Countryside Veterinary Service in Spencer as well as Overlook Farm in Brookfield. A woman of great Faith, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be sorely missed.
The funeral will be held on Monday, March 13 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
