Carl A. Tobin of Stoneham died on Wednesday, March 8, at Winchester Hospital. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Walter and Vera (Munn) Tobin. Carl Proudly served in the U.S. Army, after which he settled in Medford and worked for many years at TWA.
Carl was the Beloved husband of the late Janis (Cataldo) Tobin, and the devoted father of Sean E. Tobin of Winthrop, Andrew A. Tobin and his wife Alexandra of Stoneham, and Carolyn L. Purdy of Salem. He was the loving grandfather of Brenna Purdy, Brandon, Aidan, and Sophia Tobin, and brother of Robert Tobin and his wife Pat, Jerry Tobin and his wife Barbara, Joyce Davis and her husband Charles, John Tobin and his wife Judy, and the late Audrey Wise. Carl is also survived his sister-in-law Linda Cataldo and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, March 13, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Visiting hours Sunday, March 12, from 4 through 8 PM.
