Belmont-----Linda Joy (Weeks) Deware, 63, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born on January 5, 1954 in Laconia, the daughter of Russell V. and C. Laverne Weeks. She was a lifelong resident of Belmont.
Linda attended Laconia High School and furthered her education at Franklin Pierce University. She later worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector for Cooper Products before retiring to spend time with her family. During retirement Linda enjoyed her greenhouse, garden and walks. She also loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with family and friends. Her greatest joy was traveling in the family RV vacationing with her husband, grandchildren and her two dogs Lexee & Joena.
Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Deware, of Belmont; three daughters, Brandi Nute and her husband AJ, of Belmont, Jessica Greene and her husband, Nate, of Belmont and Angel Wright and her husband, Josh, of Concord; 7 grandchildren; Terry III, Cassandra, Austin, Alex, Joshua, Lillian and Adrianna; a brother, Joseph Weeks of NH; a sister, Debra Hickey and her husband, Jack of MA and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Lora Weeks and Dawn Landry.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private at Gilmanton Beech Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Linda's honor be made to Payson Center for Cancer Care, 250 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301 or the New Hampshire Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
