BURES, Ellen Anne Of Framingham, age 101 years and 5 months, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2017. Wife of the late Gerard A. Bures of Ellicott City, Maryland. Beloved mother of Charles Bures of Wellesley and the late William Bures. Cherished grandmother of James, Thomas and his wife Liesl, Juliana and her husband Oscarito, Matthew and his wife Gabriella, and Gregory. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren Amalia, Mariela, Bruno, Ruben, and Sebastian.
She was born in Baltimore, MD and spent 95 years there. She graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame HS and worked at the Xaverian Brothers provincial house from her graduation until after the war when she married her husband Gerard. She was a loving housewife and caring mother after that. At age 95, she moved to Carmel Terrace in Framingham to be closer to her family and 2 years ago she transitioned into St. Patrick’s Manor.
Visitation in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central St., FRAMINGHAM, Friday, Mar. 10 from 8:30-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Xaverian Brothers, 4409 Frederick Ave., Baltimore, MD 21229.
