Son of the late Guilherme and the late Philomena (de Medeiros) Torres. He was a resident of Fall River for 35 years. Before retiring he was employed as a Basket Welder for the American Dryer Company. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Church, Essex St.,Fall River.
Besides his Wife of Fall River he is survived by 1 Son: Jose Torres of Westport, MA. 2 Daughters: Grace Sousa and Andrea Aguiar both of Fall River. 2 Sisters: Maria Fatima Torres and Maria Dos Anjos Torres both of Agua da Pau, Sao Miguel, Azores. 5 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel Torres.
His Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N.Main Street, Fall River Thursday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St.,Fall River at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours Wednesday 4-8 P.M.
