Sarah D. (Hunt) Clark, 89 of New Bedford died March 6, 2017 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late John W. Clark.
Born and raised in Bourne, the daughter of the late Edward E. and Sarah E. (Sibley) Hunt, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a graduate of Bourne High school, class of 1945.
Mrs. Clark was formerly employed by Aerovox for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and with her homies at the senior centers in New Bedford.
Survivors include her son, William Clark and his companion Rose Silva of Fall River; a daughter, Marilyn Wilson and her husband Kelvin of Webster, MA; a sister, Alberta Harding of Bourne; 7 grandchildren, Adam Clark, who checked on her everyday, Jeff Clark, Alisha Clark, Donelle Clark and Kym Reis, all of New Bedford, Isaiah Wilson and Aleah Wilson, both of Webster, MA; her daughter-in-law Judith Clark; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William, George, Calvin and Daniel Hunt, Nancy Haywood, Hazel Butner, Grace Bolden and Annie Nooth.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 10th at 11 AM in the the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 9th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her name to the Buttonwood Senior Center, 1 Oneida St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
