Obituary

Wilfred M. Howland, Jr., 87, of E. Providence, formerly of Wareham, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Waterview Villa Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Medeiros) Howland and the late Dorothy (Moore) Howland.

Mr. Howland was born in New Bedford, son of the late Wilfred M. and Doris E. (Baker) Howland, Sr. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an instructor for Massachusetts Maritime Academy. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served his country in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his daughter: Darlene Scott of ME; his step-son: Allen Crane of Attleboro; his step-daughter: Debra Fobert of Attleboro Falls; his brother: Albert T. Howland of Jamestown, RI; 3 grandchildren: Robin, Joseph and William; along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was the grandfather of the late Megan Scott.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will be Wednesday, at the funeral home from 10-11 A.M., prior to the service.

Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
