FALL RIVER – Walter John Slusack, age 88, passed away on March 5, 2017 at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Manteiga) Slusack. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Walter and Matilda “Tillie” (Zigel) Slusack. Walter was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
Along with his wife he is survived by his daughter Cynthia O’Rourke (husband James O’Rourke, Jr.) of Somerset; sisters Patricia Anderson and Jo-Ann Terry, both of Minnesota; granddaughters Megan and Jennifer O’Rourke; as well as many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M.
