Provincetown icon Edward ‘Eddie’ Ritter, 72, died Saturday March 4th at home after an illness. He was a US Army, Vietnam veteran and a well-known local fisherman.
He leaves his partner, Stephanie Cady of Provincetown, his brother, Donald Ritter, and wife Nancy of Staten Island, N.Y., and his sister, Carole Tierney of Palm Springs, Calif. He is also survived by Cady's children Corina Russe of Provincetown, Joaquim and wife Deni Russe of Harwich and Angela Russe and partner John Guzman of Eastham; second sons Chris Merrill and Beau Gribbin; friends Tom Finn, Wally Bowden and Tom Tully; nephews Donald Ritter, Jonathan Ritter and Matthew Tierney; and nieces Tracy Louie-Marie and Robin Tierney.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eddie's family on Saturday, March 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown. Burial will be private.
