Alice (Gomes-Perreira) Dias, 98 of Bourne died March 5, 2017 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Lourenco Dias.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Alves) Perreira, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Dias attended school in New Bedford and worked there in the textile industry.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing and embroidery. Mrs Dias loved her family deeply. She will be missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice Dias Legarde and her husband Chuck of Houston, TX; 2 sisters, Laurie Rebello and Lucy Gomes-Perreira, both of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Holmes of Mashpee, Charles "Chip" Legarde and his wife Amy of Houston, TX and Nicole Findlay and her husband Gordon of The Woodlands, TX; 7 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Holmes and Kaia Holmes, both of Mashpee, Charles "Chase" Legarde, Colby Legarde and Nicholas Legarde, all of Houston, TX, Payton Findlay and Piper Findlay, both of The Woodlands, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Clotilde St. Pierre, Esther Gomes and Julie Camacho.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Tuesday morning from 10 - 11 AM prior to her service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her name to the Texas Children's Hospital for Cancer Research, Attn: Development Department, Lisa McCoy 6701 Fannin Street, Suite 1510 Houston, TX 77030.
