Fairhaven John R. Vieira died Monday September 5, 2005 at Alden Ct. Nursing and Rehab Center., after a long illness. He was the widow of Louise A. (Corvello) Vieira. He was the Father of John R. Vieira of Chaplin, Conn. And June Gonsalves of New Bedford Ma. He was the brother of Elsie Mogayzle of Dartmouth, Eva Mello of New Bedford, and Antone Vieira OF New Bedford.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren 8 great grand and several nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Vieira was the son of the late Antone and Erminia (Ventura) Vieira. He was born in New Bedford and lived here all of his life. He was a Maintenance man for Old ClonyTransportation. Mr Vieira was a member of the Fin, Fur, and Feather Club in Mattapoisett.He was a WW II Veteran in the U.S. army
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday Septamber 9, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, MA. Visiting hours will be Thursday September 8, 2005 from 5-8 at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Hospital for Children332 North Lauderdale Ave.P.O.Box 318. Burial will take place at Rural cemetery.
