Stephen W. Green of Londonderry, NH died Friday March 3, 2017 after a short aggressive battle with cancer. Steve was born on January 15, 1937, a son of the late George and Marion Green. He had been a resident of Londonderry and Malden, MA for most of his life.
Steve, AKA Stefano was an Italian Chef by trade and had a passion for cooking for his family as well as for work. He enjoyed writing cook books, as well as his cooking show on public access television. He was a minister who joined many marriages including his daughter’s. He also served his country proudly in the US Army. Steve was a guy who got along with everybody he met, a guy everybody wanted to know.
Steve was happily married to his wife Jo-Ann for 48 years before her passing November of 2016. Three short months later Steve has joined his wife in Heaven.
Steve is survived by two sons, Joseph Green and his wife Mary, and Robert Green and his wife Beverly. Four daughters, Kari Green Blunt and her husband Danny, Nicole Green Burke and her husband Chris, Judy Green DePasse, and Leslie Green. Beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Joey, Stefanie, Anthony, Christopher, Corey, and Robert Jr. Two great-grandchildren, Kolton and Dylan. Two brothers, John Green and his wife Carol, and Richard Green. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Mark’s Church, 1 South Rd., Londonderry. Entombment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Manchester.
