Murray Tarmy, 90, of Chelsea, beloved husband of the late Beverly (Wayne) Tarmy died March 2, 2017 at the Beth Israel Hospital Boston surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Tarmy. Murray was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. He was employed as a toll collector for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Murray is survived by his two daughters Beatrice Liberman and her companion Fred Darcy of Chelsea and Annette Smith of FL, his grandchildren Michael, Jessica and Jamie Liberman and his brothers Harold Tarmy of Natick and William Tarmy of N. Reading. He was predeceased by his son Barry Tarmy. two grandchildren Joseph and Jared Smith, brothers Benjamin, Jack, Albert and son in law Larry Smith.
His funeral service will be held from the Torf Funeral Chapel Sunday March 5th at 12PM. Interment in New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, Everett. Memorial observance will be held following the burial at the Winthrop Arms 130 Grovers Ave. Winthrop, MA 02152 from 2:30 PM - 5:00PM.
