Dartmouth-Hilda (Sylvia) Martin died Sunday September 4, 2005 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Antone F. Martin. She was the Mother of Joyce Silveira of Dartmouth and Arthur Roderick and his wife Jeanne of Orlando Fla. Sister of the late Rose Duarte, Mary Oliver and Angie Barboza. Grandmother of Donna M. Baptiste, Sharon Dutton, Karen L. Jones and Susan Roberts.Also survived by 8 Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews..
Mrs. Martin was born in New Bedford Ma, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Costa) Sylvia. She wworked as a packer at Red L. Fish Co. until her retirement.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday September 7, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday September 6, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
