Josh Hutto, 77, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Lax Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with Marcus Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends, Saturday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Hutto was born October 23, 1939, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Willie Jordan & Effie Merritt Hutto. He lived in the community all of his life and was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing and having fish fries every Thursday night. Mr. Hutto enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Hutto was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by three sister: Frances Craig of Tifton, Elizabeth “Liz” Barrentine of Wray and Myram & Gerald Stephens of Jesup; a sister-in-law, Annie Hutto of Irwin County; a brother-in-law, Dan Chaney of Ocilla; one step-granddaughter, Samantha Revis Lopez & Louis of Virginia; four step-great-grandchildren and three step great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jenette Kretchmer Hutto; a stepson, Lee Revis; six brothers and three sisters.
