Teresa K. (Kasper) Vaskas, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was born and raised in Worcester, one of 11 children of Agatha (Kacevich) and John Kasper.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School and a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Worcester. Teresa enjoyed reading, gardening, and taking trips to Foxwoods.
Her husband, David Vaskas, died in 2005. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly McCormick (Daniel) of Maine, Nancy Vaskas of Holden, and Diane Vaskas of Bellingham. She also leaves 2 sisters, Rita Fleming and Veronica Borezo, 3 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, on Monday, March 6 from 5-8pm. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 7, with an 11:00am Mass at St. Joan of Arc, 570 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa's memory may be made to the Salmon VNA & Hospice, 37 Birch St., Milford MA 01757.
