FALL RIVER – Elvira (Travis) Camara, age 90 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Hortense (Arruda) Travis and the beloved wife of the late Edward H. Camara.
Survivors include her daughter: Donna L. Fernandes of Venice, FL; 4 sisters: Dorothy Lima & Theresa Tavares, both of Fall River, Tessie Simcoe of Westport, & Stella Sheldon of Fall River; 2 grandchildren: Jay Edward Camara & Tracey Araujo; great-grandchildren: Ashley Tavares, Hannah and Juliet Camara; several nieces & nephews. Elvira was also the sister of the late Lillian Pinheiro, Joseph Travis and John (Butch) Travis.
Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
