Rone, John Paul, 46, passed Tuesday, February 28, 2017, surrounded by loving friends and family.
He was a loyal and happy employee of Logan Teleflex, and enjoyed all of the great people that worked there. He loved going to Rough River with his boat, and watching UK games.
John was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Rone; and grandfather, Buster Rone.
John is survived by his grandmother, June Rone; his parents, Sandy and George Downs; his loving partner of 12 years, Kim Grassman; three sons, Gerald (Desiree), Trenton, and Matthew Rone; a brother, Tommy Downs (Susan) and little Fiona; four sisters, Autumn Warren (Rich), Jeana Stutzenberger, Marcie Rone; and Courtney Downs; a grandchild, Skylar; an uncle, Jim McClellan (Robyn); a great Aunt, Barbara Pait; a great uncle, Tom Filben (Barbara); he also has what he considered step-children, Tyler and Erica Grassman (Lawrence), and little Lauren.
He had many loving and supportive friends and relatives during his three month fight with cancer.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Sunday 2:00-8:00 PM.
