WEBSTER – Phyllis T. (Konieczny) Gryncewicz, 90, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 surrounded by her family, in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge after an illness. Her husband of 64 years, Bernard Gryncewicz, died in 2013.
She leaves four sons, John J. Gryncewicz of Webster, Paul C. Gryncewicz of Virginia, Robert R. and his wife Donna M. Gryncewicz of Dudley and James C. Gryncewicz of East Bridgewater; a daughter, Nancy L. and her husband Daniel W. Santerre of Thompson, CT; 7 grandchildren, Lisa Gryncewicz, Patricia Nelson, Laura Gryncewicz, Specialist Robby Gryncewicz, Katie Gryncewicz, Alyson Santerre and Andrew Santerre; a daughter-in-law, Karen Glenn of VA and a close friend, Diane Nachajko of Dudley. She was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Chester, Fred and Raymond Konieczny.
She was born in Dudley a daughter of John and Mary (Socha) Konieczny.
Mrs.Gryncewicz worked as a clerk in the Dudley District Court House for over 20 years. She retired in 1990.
She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality, and the Saint Joseph Polish Women’s Club. She was a member of the Mass State Retired Employees.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 6, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at noon in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours will be held Monday morning, March 6, from 9:00 to 11:15 AM in the funeral home.
