NEW BEDFORD — Deolinda (Medeiros) Correia, age 93, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hathaway Manor after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Fernando L. Correia.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Medeiros and lived in New Bedford her entire life.
Linda worked for many years at Cornell Dubilier and ultimately retired from Staylastic Smith Co. where she worked as a packer.
She leaves a son, Larry Correia and his long time companion Joan Ann Niles; 3 grandchildren Michael Correia and his companion Helen of Fall River, Lisa Bergson and her husband Gene of South Dartmouth, Julie Przybyszewski and her husband Dana of Mattapoisett; 5 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Peter, Leah, Sarah and Nate; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, March 3rd from 5-7 P.M. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County Street, New Bedford. Friends are asked to meet by 9 A.M. on Monday, March 6th at the funeral home to proceed to Pine Grove Cemetery for a graveside service at 9:30 A.M.
