Marie Matranga of Tewksbury died on Monday, February 27, at Lowell General Hospital. A longtime Medford resident, she was the daughter of Marie "Mela" (Cartolano) Matranga of Tewksbury and the late Salvatore Matranga. Marie is survived by her biological daughter Salina Matranga, her sister Michele Matranga of Tewksbury, her brother Salvatore Matranga of Middleton, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late sister Roseann Venuti and her late brother Robert Matranga.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Sunday, March 5, at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10 through 1 PM prior to the service. Interment will be private.
