Catherine M. Routhier, 52, of Rehoboth passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Norwood Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Frank Abebe, they were married for 30 years.
Mrs. Routhier was born in Fall River, daughter of Virginia V. (Chase) Routhier of Westport and the late Robert R. Routhier and had resided in Rehoboth for the past 29 years. She worked as a kindergarten teacher at the Garvin Memorial School in Cumberland, RI and was passionate about working with students with special needs. She loved researching and learning to do things on her own and traveling all over the world, experiencing new cultures.
Survivors along with her husband and mother include her 2 sisters: Susan J. Sharpe of Dartmouth and Cynthia A. Olivier of Oak Bluffs; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Janet M. McNulty.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:30 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be from 11-12:30, on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
