49 of Louisville, passed away surrounded by his loving family and prayer on Sunday, February 26th, 2017. He was a Major in the United States Corps who served 16 years on active duty. He was a graduate of Eastern KY University, a Master Mason, a member of TKE Fraternity, a member of the American Legion in Taylorsville, KY, and a former member of the Marine Corps Reserve Officer Association and Marine Corps League in Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Lorenz and Gladys Mockbee. He is survived by his wife Christina Mockbee, step mother Barbara Ann Stinnett, daughters; Brittany Mockbee, Brandise Ahearn (Jonathan), and Hannah Mockbee, two grandchildren; Brylie Mockbee and Ryland Ahearn, one brother Michael Mockbee, one sister Robin McDonald, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, March 2nd from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd. His funeral Mass will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Gabriel the Archangel 5505 Bardstown Rd Louisville, KY. Burial will be Friday, March 3rd at 10 a.m. at the KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Kosair Charities.
