Antonio M. Sousa, age 55, of Fall River, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday February 26, 2017. Born in Furnas, São Miguel Açores he was the son of Maria José Viera Borges and the late Manuel V. Sousa and husband of Maria Juliana Brasil. Antonio was a hard working Mason for Olymia Construction, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he survived by his children; Claudia and Bianca Sousa, step daughters; Leonor Belicio, Beatriz Janeiro, and Ines Fagundes, siblings; Lucia Bettencourt, Goretti Amaral, Teresa Martins, Francisco, Mario Jorge, Gabriel, Roberto, Eduarda, and Luis Sousa, grandchildren; Alice Soares, Nuria Silva, and Isabella Belicio and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring St. at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
