Genevieve Ruth (Hamm) Walton, 100, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017.
She was a retired employee of the Jefferson County Board of Education, a 70 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter, Mother of Purity Chapter 116, a member of the Oasis Senior Citizen Club, the Chit Chat Club, and Morning Side Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Walton.
Survivors include her children, Rosetta Ann Harris, Nina Lee Gilland, Yvonne Kay Johnson (Van), and Cynthia Lyn Guldenschuh (Chuck); 17 grandchildren;35 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 – 8 p.m. Tuesday.
