In Taunton, February 26, 2017 Edna M. Bonenfant, Age 92, passed away peacefully in Marian Manor Nursing Home. Born in Cambridge, England, daughter of the late Edward & Anna (Taylor) Brown. Edna came to the USA as a GI bride in 1946. Devoted wife of the late Omer M. Bonenfant and beloved mother to the late Carol A. Rec; survived by her children Maurice E. Bonenfant and his wife Joyce of Raynham, Gilbert W Bonenfant and his wife Stephanie of North Attleboro, Julia M. Gannon and her husband Joseph of Berkley, Michael O. Bonenfant and his wife Charlene of North Dighton, and son in law Roger Rec. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Brian Rec, Kevin Rec, Kerri Richards, Jason Bonenfant, Justin Bonenfant, Jasmine Bonenfant, Amy Southworth, Michelle Khouri, Stephanie Murphy, Christopher Bonenfant, Rachel Bonenfant, Amanda Marvel, Andrew Bonenfant and Alyssa Bonenfant, also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jennifer, Samantha, Kyle, Zachary, Marissa, Jonathan, Austin, Cameron, Jordyn, Brendan, Delanee, Brailee, Sylvie and Rhys and her late great grandson Nicholas. She also leaves one great great grandson Zachary along with several nieces and nephews. Edna was the last of her other nine siblings. Edna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, March 2nd at 8 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 9 am. Burial will be in Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne MA at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Edna’s memory to Marian Manor Nursing Home, 33 Summer St., Taunton, MA 02780.
