Murphy, Elaine L. of West Roxbury, February 27, 2017. Beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude Murphy. Loving sister the late Frederick Murphy, Jr. Devoted aunt of F. Brian Murphy of Providence, RI, Karen Murphy and her husband Soren Richelsen of Newburyport, Dennis C. Murphy of Las Vegas, NV, Bruce G. ofMurphy and his wife Sherry of Easthampton, Keith D. Murphy and his wife Lori of Andover, and Jacqueline E. Murphy of Quincy. Also survived by several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
Elaine was a vivacious woman with many interests including skiing, tennis, golf, bowling, reading, photography and world travel. Her life was rich with family, friends and lots of love. A Retired Office Manager who served a dedicated 38 years at Lincoln Electric’s regional office located in Waltham. She was a 1950 graduate of Wyndham Business School in Boston and a 1948 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Jamaica Plain.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Thursday March 2, at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
