BROOKFIELD: Doris M. (Lachambre) Nugent 97 of Prairie Schooner Trail, died Sunday, Feb.26 in Quaboag Rehab & Skilled Care Center in W.Brookfield.
She was the wife of James W. Nugent who died in 1989. She leaves her son Raymond J. Kelley and his wife Leona of Brookfield, her daughters Kathleen M. Rhault of Spencer and Nancy J. Zaik and her husband Robert of No.Brookfield, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughters Beatrice I. Cassavant and Rita M. Juaire, brothers Leo, Norman & Donald Lachambre and sisters Irene Hitchings and Cecile Fahey. Her first husband Raymond A. Kelley died in 1962 and second husband Andrew Resseque died in 1977.
Doris was a wire-precision trimmer at Gavitt's Wire & Cable for 25 years, retiring in 1980.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Angelina (Gaucher) Lachambre. She enjoyed crochet, knitting, dancing, bowling & bingo. Over the years, she enjoyed trips to Florida and the casino.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 2 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
