A vibrant woman who enjoyed reading, dancing, travel, art, and many social activities, Mama Nina and Papa Joe had an open door at their summer home in Nantasket where friends and relatives gathered for over 40 years. After her husband passed, she learned how to drive a car at age 70 and began painting at age 75. At her 93rd birthday celebration she was asked the secret of her long life, she happily responded: "You should dance every night". During her last days, Mrs. Sylvester would regale visitors with stories of her life and without fail would end these moments with the same joyful comment: What A Life!!.
