Augusta, GA---Mr. William Dale Fox, 72, entered into rest on Friday, February 24, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Morningside Baptist Church with Pastor Wally Hoyle officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Fox was born in Lincolnton, Georgia, but had been a resident of Augusta for most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy and was an Optical Technician with Wren Optical for 35 years. Mr. Fox was a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Carl Fox.
Survivors include, his mother, Mary Goolsby Fox of Augusta, GA, his brother and sister in law, Mike and Brenda Fox of Aiken, SC, his niece and her husband, Sarah Amy-Lynn and Matt Maurer of Mt. Pleasant, SC and his nephew, Bryan Michael Fox of Lexington, SC.
The family will receive friends this evening, Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Platt’s Funeral Home Crawford Avenue.
Pallbearers will be Robert Thompson, Robbie Thompson, Jerry Kitchens, Bob Mason, Tony Tipton and Larry Webb.
